HURTS (Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson) will release their official first single “Better Than Love” on May 17, 2010. The new song took my by surprise because it is a much more upbeat track when compared to “Wonderful Life” and “Blood, Tears and Gold“.

HURTS recently told the BBC: “We write pop music. To aim lower than going stratospheric is quite cowardly.” I couldn’t agree more. I am predicting big things for HURTS this year. All the ingredients are there; great lyrics, stunning production, catchy choruses and a touch of mystery. Their debut album is set for release on August 16, 2010.

Lenny Kravitz has plans to release his ninth studio album this Fall. The albums first single “Another Day” will feature vocals from Michael Jackson. Kravitz stopped by Lopez Tonight to discuss the song. Check out the video below.

Chicago based indie group my My Gold Mask are set to release their new EP “A Thousand Voices” on March 23, 2010 via Phantom Domestic. I have had this immediately infectious EP on repeat over the weekend.

Dutch DJ and producer Mason has teamed up with Darryl DMC McDaniels, half of the hip hop crew Run DMC, and Sam Sparro to release “Corrected”. The song has been remixed by Riva Starr, Death Metal Disco Scene, Alex Gopher, Freaky Friday, Ralvero and Majik & Wickerman.
